Prickly Pear Cactus

Adding a special beauty to Nevada's rangelands are the lemon-yellow blossoms of prickly pear. The prickly pear is a succulent plant that blooms after spring rains. It produces a generous amount of pollen which dusts honey bees as they busily buzz from one flower to another in search of nectar.
