A skeletoned bristlecone pine snag enhances the picturesque landscape of this relatively new and unique national park. At 13,060 ft., Wheeler Peak stands as the second highest mountain in Nevada. Along the northeast face of this peak lies a large glacier that is a remnant from the Pleistocene Epoch.
