RUBY MOUNTAINS SCENIC AREA

A dynamic recreation retreat near Elko, the Ruby Mountains Scenic Area offers superb views of the mountains, excellent fishing, hiking and wilderness exploring. There are trails that lead to glacial lakes and cirque basins. Often called "the poor man's Alaska," the Ruby Mountains contain peaks with elevations over 11,000 feet displaying dramatic vertical rises.
