WALKER RIVER

Laced with fresh snow from a passing winter storm, red willow branches create a fantasy of white. As the sun glimmers through lifting clouds, Walker River continues to flow. Arching around the Wassuk Range until reaching Walker Lake, the river travels north into Mason Valley. This area is a well-known migratory stop for hundreds of common loons.
