CANNON BEACH

As white-ribbon surf outlines this dramatic coastline, silhouetted trees create an artistic dimension to Cannon Beach. Punctuated by large stone monoliths, the seven-mile-long sandy shores of Cannon Beach encompass Crescent Beach. The Lewis and Clark Expedition traveled here in the winter of 1S06 in search of a beached whale.
