Coneflower

Distinct large cylindrical disk-flower heads and long sweeping yellow rayflowers, the coneflower flourishes in dense clusters. This conspicuous flower grows well in woodlands and along stream-banks at elevations between 5,000 to 8,000 feet. Patches of coneflower may spread into over-grazed areas and be indicators of soil disturbances.
