High Uintas Wilderness Area

Abrupt mountain ridges that rise several thousand feet from valleys below, the Uinta Mountains are the highest range in Utah. In addition, the High Uintas Wilderness Area encom-passes 460,000 acres and is the largest wilderness area in Utah. This densely forested land is riddled with hundreds of alpine lakes and rushing streams.
