North Cascades

Cloaked under a heavy blanket of snow, the North Cascades slip into a state of rest during the winter months. Mount Shuksan, sheathed in satin white against a cobalt blue sky, dramatically displays its glaciers embedded in the underlying rock walls. Over 300 active glaciers exist within the North Cascades.
