Pasque Flower

Also called wild crocus, blue tulip or prairie anemone, this delicate lavender pasque flower is usually one of the first plants to pop its head through melting snow. Different than most flowers, it has sepals instead of petals and develops a fruit resembling a lion's beard when mature.
