Lewis Monkeyflowers

Colorful blooms of Lewis monkeyflowers artistically grace a charred timber in a fire-scarred area. This plant was named after Captain Lewis of the Lewis and Clark Expedition. Monkeyflowers prefer moist soil along springs and streams. These trumpet-shaped flowers bloom throughout the summer depending on location and elevation.
