PINTAIL DUCK

Somewhat concealed in marsh grasses, a male pintail sips a drink of water. The pintail is a sleek, tailored-looking duck with a brown head, white neck and long, black-painted central tail feathers. The most widely distributed North American duck, pintails frequent lakes, ponds and bays in large flocks.
