Petrified Forest

With a summer storm threat-ening, filtered sunrays highlight these unique logs that became stone or petrified wood. Scattered randomly over arid grasslands, Petrified Forest National Park is filled with petrified logs and other relics spanning millions of years. Geological and archaeological evidence such as fossilized bone, teeth and leaf impressions also exist here.
