YELLOWSTONE FALLS

Viewed from Artist Point, Yellowstone Falls plunges 308 feet creating a dramatic spectacle of cascading water. Within the volcanic gorge known as Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, the roar of this falls breaks winter's silence. Caption William F. Raynolds noted on an 1860 map the name, "Falls of the Yellowstone," but it was actually published in 1868 as "Yellowstone Falls."
