Yellowstone Falls

The Yellowstone River plunges 308 feet over a volcanic cliff into the magnificent Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. Massive slabs of ice on each side of Yellowstone Falls start forming when winter arrives. As temperatures drop and snowfall increases, the ice slabs build until the huge volume of water has difficulty flowing.
