YELLOWSTONE LAKE

Bright yellow leaves radiate as storm clouds gather over Yellowstone Lake. Encompassing 136 square miles with 110 miles of shoreline, Yellowstone Lake is the park's largest lake. Indian artifacts found near this lake indicate hunting parties may have camped along its shores. During the 1800's Yellowstone Lake became well known among western explorers.
